If you’ve got a frozen iPad, do a soft reset which will reboot the device. You can do this by holding down the power button, while at the same time pressing the home button. Hold both down for a few seconds. The device will restart. Hold the home button down for several seconds to force-close an app.

Want your iPad to stop asking you to join networks? You can go to the tab to opt out of joining a network. If you choose that option, you will not receive incoming invitations anymore.

Do you hate only being able to preview two lines of your new emails? If so, you can change this option. In your Settings menu, click on Mail, and then find the Preview setting. Adjust this to show 5 lines. By doing this, you can see as much of an email as you want, which will speed up the process of viewing emails.

The iPad shows the first two lines of an email by deafult. It might be desirable to view more before opening the email. Just click on Settings and then Mail. Select Contacts under Mail, then select Calendar to alter the options for additional lines in Preview mail.

You may be annoyed by the chiming whenever you get an email. The great thing is that you do not have to be. To do so, go to Settings and General. Select “Sounds” under this tab. You will be able to turn the sound off here or adjust the volume.
