It is easy to access all open apps. Double clicking on your Home button will bring up a bar along the bottom of the screen displaying all of your currently running apps. If you tap on a app in the bar, you can quickly switch to it. Just swipe downward on your screen to remove this bar.

To see the things that your iPad is running, double click the Home button. The currently running apps will appear on a bar. This will be located at the bottom. To make the bar disappear, swipe downward.
